City Turmoils Keep Brokers Looking at Their Screen - not flats for sale and to let

The sharp fall in global markets meant several cancelled appointments to view property for sale and to let in London yesterday across our London offices.

It seems traders are glued to their screens right now and clocking off for a couple of hours to look for a new home isn't top of their agendas. In South Kensington four appointments were re scheduled for later in the evening or the coming weekend.

In several instances we were showing flats and houses untill beyond 9PM last night as bankers re-scheduled their diaries.

Working around our clients', buyers' and tenants' working day pays dividends, with seven lettings agreed and one sale, but one thing's for sure - estate agents in London are working alot harder than a year ago.
