London property market - will home improvements help sell my property in London?

The Observer reports this weekend that research by Lloyds TSB shows that there has been a 20% jump in the number of people looking to borrow money for home improvements. The question for many vendors is will it help sell my property, and crucially, will I get my money back?

The answer of course varies from property to property. It's essential that vendors contemplating home improvements as a tool to sell their properties get up to date market information and ascertain any likely benefits by speaking to us first. Some properties can actually be negatively affected by a poorly conceived makeover or "improvement", without even considering the money spent on the actual works.

For property rental in London it is particularly important to prepare properties properly for the vagaries of a very sophisticated market. A new kitchen a splash of paint may not be the solution to finding good long term tenants. Our London lettings managers are always on hand to advise on preparing properties cost effectively.

We also have an in house London property refurbishment team working closely with our lettings and sales managers to advise on and oversee works on behalf of all clients to maximise returns from their properties.
