London property market - professional sharers finding less choice

Let at above asking price in South Kensington

This three bedroom flat to let in South Kensington was let yesterday through Chard's South Kensington and Chelsea Lettings office above asking price. We had six viewings and secured three offers from a variety of applicants, all of them professional sharers.

It seems that bankers and city workers are downsizing and opting to share rather than dig into their pockets for £300 - £400 per week to rent one bedroom flats. At the same time we're dealing with students (mostly from overseas) moving into London for the start of the new Acedemic Year.

Hi

I think the two months of the year( August and September ) are very important for real estate agents because mostly people are visit to London in these months and they takes rooms on rent.It is a main cause finding less choice.
